Removal of CCJ advice

Me and my partner who live together received a CCJ a few month ago. Was only for a small amount of money for ground rent, I paid the CCJ in full on the day the court letter arrived from my bank account to the ground rent company who then forwarded me a receipt and a letter of proof of payment. Which, they said they had immediately forwarded it on to the court to cancel the CCJ. A few weeks pass and no cancellation so I ring the court again, only to be told has the letter of proof been sent as he can’t view it, not his department nor is there a contact number for that department. So, I ring the ground rent company who express we definitely sent it but will send another and emailed me proof again the letter was sent in the post. Another few weeks go by, it’s still there I ring the court again, only to be told to pay for a application of certification to cancel it so I pay that small fee fill it out email it off with proof, only a formal letter headed paper from the company of ground rent. 6 weeks pass and the CCJ is still there so I ring the court this morning to be told my partners has been removed but not mine as the ground rent company hasn’t signed it off. I explained I was told they don’t sign it off (by the court a few weeks ago and ground rent company) and that the company have sent 5 letters now 3 in joint names of myself and partner and two just in my name. She has no advice on what to do just keeps repeating ring the company tell them to sign you off, sorry for the length of post I don’t want to drip feed, I ring company again for them to tell me they have sent 5 letters they don’t sign anything off the court just removes it once received proof. I ring court back, speak to somebody different who just keeps repeating yes but it’s a joint claim and they must if received proof of him and not you I can’t see any letters from said company etc I respond I paid the debt from my bank account the company have now sent 5 letters asking for cancellation as it was paid in full within time frame and the letters included both our names. The application for certificate is mine from my email address with again a copy of proof from the company in my name but they have cancelled his CCJ and not mine. She said I understand your frustration but it’s because it’s a joint name but couldn’t explain further she told me to apply again which I have but feel she was just saying this as she doesn’t know what to do. Is there anything else I can try, if this was up to my partner he would of left it as he hates paper work etc and it wouldn’t bother him. But I have paid it collected all relevant information, and made sure all forms have both are names on. What else can I do? Or is there anywhere else u can ring or apply to?

How would they have proof of his but not mine if I have sent all info and the company who issued the CCJ have sent them info all with my name on it! It doesn’t make sense to me

You can try to appeal it through Experian - many years ago I had issues with incorrect defaults from shared housing etc, and they helped me appeal it and remove it from my credit file.

If you haven't already, I would pay to obtain a copy of your proper credit report, not these free ones that are just trying to sell you credit products. CCJs are the end result of a lengthy process of creditors trying to get their money and don't just get handed out in 5 minutes, so I would take this opportunity to properly scrutinise your file for anything else that might affect you going forward.

In the interim all you can do is hound the company you originally owed, as you won't get anywhere quickly without a satisfaction certificate.

Thanks for your reply, yes I’ve hounded the company many times and they’ve said they have sent proof to the court in both our names sent me a copy of the proof so doesn’t make sense mine is still there but they have removed partners

I would just reapply to the court including the relevent paperwork and add a covering letter saying the first application was only actioned for your husband
Admin staff cant do much but if a judge reads your application and can see the proof they should process it. Please make the application a little easier to follow than your post

It is easy to follow as it is just the application I’ve filled in the proof letter and the reference numbers so I have no idea how they’ve removed his but not mine? Then signed off from me
