Can I have Parental responsibilty taken away?

he went through the court to get PR and accsses. We havnt seen nor heard from him in 3 years now. I doubt he has DS's best interests at heart. Or would it just cause a load of trouble not needed?

Courts very very rarely revoke parental responsibility orders, and then only in extreme circs (eg prostituting child).

Iv looked into the same thing. Be warned, if you dont want anything to do with your ex, this may provoke contact again.It would be VERY unlikely im afraid.

Sorry to say that DS's father will not get PR taken away.

I am a family lawyer and deal with these things all the time. The only way PR ceases is when the child reaches 18. have never heard of a case where PR is taken away from the father.

Obviously, PR can be gained from other parties for DS as well, but again you would have to show the court relevant reasons why.

Could PR ever be taken from a parent for criminal reasons eg abuse, neglect? Is it basically impossible that it would happen?
