In March I got a parking ticket at a council run car park. I out my reg no. in paid for the ticket but did not get one.
Dealing with 3 over excited children, I assumed that the machine was not working so went to the library came back half an hour later surprise, suprise I had a ticket.
Got them back in the car and phoned the helpline, who advised me to email in an explanation which I did.
I have had the appeal rebuffed basically because even though they can see 'someone' paid for a ticket I was not displaying one.
My argument to them is why take the cars registration number if they don't keep a record of who has paid for a ticket and who hasn't.
THey can see I paid for it, I called after Ihad the ticket but they still won't let me off.
I know I am probably going to end up paying the blooyd thing but it is now going to a tribunal. Has anyone experience of these and how did it go and what can I expect.
The council have today sent a 'dossier' to me today of the bloody case!
(am preparing Tom Cruise 'Few Good Men' style argument to throw back at them)
