Wills, trusts, estate planners for SEND

We dont have a complicated estate - property, savings, pensions come to £500k. Will probably inherit from parents in time.

What’s complicated is we have a SEND child with complex needs and is a vulnerable person. We need to do some financial planning so he is looked after. Other children are too young to know if they will need the same.

We could instruct a specialist solicitor to write wills and trusts (specifically a vulnerable persons trust) for my child. Would that be sufficient or would an estate planning firm with its own legal team be worth using?

Mencap offer training courses on this that it might be worth signing up for.

Thanks I’ll look into it. I have already attended their webinar on wills and trusts which explains that they can act as trustees - is this the one you mean or is it something separate?
