Vanquis credit card, is this normal or scam?

I got an email from credit karma (credit score agency) that I’m a member of. It said I had new offers so I checked and it showed 100% chance karma confidence. I clicked read more it took me to vanquis details was all pre filled, I agreed to the terms and it asked me to set up direct debit then at the end it said thank you we will contact you within 28 hours to finalise.

now I’m confused because I’ve had no email or text to confirm I’ve applied nothing, from
my research it’s strange to agree to terms and give direct debit details before I’ve been accepted. Is this a normal this with Vanquid pre approvals? Or am I being scammed. Thanks

Sounds a bit dodgy. I would phone Vanquis direct and ask them.

Post the email address it came from. Creditkarma usually goes via their website then to others. But not to scare you, it does take you then to fully preffiled application on credit card website

Hi the email from credit karma I believe is legit because it’s the same email address that normally contacts me, it’s the vanquis side that seems off to me I tried to phone them but no chance to get through

I’m with Vanquis. I don’t think I’ve ever been asked for direct debit details. But I know they’ve recently changed their offerings.
Their customer services is great. Give them a call.
