Hi

Received this email but suspect it's a scam
Copied and pasted below

Reference Number- 1010655202

Good Afternoon Amanda,

My name is Adam Wood. I am contacting you from the Goods Removal Team of the FCML Debt Enforcement Bailiffs.

This is to bring to your attention that we have received a legal notice against you from your creditor where you are not making the contractual monthly payments because the creditors have approached us in order to get a “{CCJ} (County Court Judgments)” against you.

As a result, you will have an attachment of earnings to your Wages/Benefits of £627.51 from the following month.

  1. Issue a warrant of control to enforcement agents to take Control of your goods (which will incur additional costs).
  1. Make an Attachment of Earning Order (for deductions to be made from your salary).
  1. Make an Application for Benefit deductions (for deductions to be made from your benefits).

If you don’t wish to engage with us, we will now organize the removal of goods with immediate effect.

If you wish to avoid this, you have the following options:

  1. You can pay your creditor in full and avoid any Attachment of Earnings or County Court Judgment,
  1. If you are struggling, we can suggest alternate options or an affordable payment plan. Also, we can suggest the best Debt Help Company for you for all your consolidated debts which you owe in your name.

If you have any interest in the above solutions, you can reply to the email and an associate will call/email you back with a solution that suits you the best.

Please let us know at the earliest.

Thank You,

Adam Wood

Not an expert, but fairly sure genuine debt enforcement wouldn’t send an email, so many scams now, just delete it or better still forward it to one of the agencies that investigates these things

Didn’t realise this was a zombie thread when I replied , how odd it should suddenly bump up Active

Scam. Look at the poor SPAG:

"we have received a legal notice against you from your creditor where you are not making the contractual monthly payments" - 'where you are' should be 'to whom you are'

"County Court Judgments" - should be 'Judgment'

Random uppercase 'C' in 'Control'

"Attachment of Earning Order" - should be 'Earnings"

"we can suggest alternate options" - American English. British English would be 'alternative options'

"or all your consolidated debts which you owe in your name." Doesn't make sense. Your debts aren't consolidated until you or someone else else consolidates them and 'your debts you owe in your name' is tautologous.

"a solution that suits you the best." Should either be 'a solution' or 'the solution that suits you [the] best"

A legit debt collection agency bailiffs would make reference to CAB for help with debts, not a company.

Scammier than a big bag of scammy things on a scammy day.

As we have mentioned the original debt is from a debt collector called Credit Recovery Agency
They tried to contact you on numerous occasions and couldn't get through to you,
I have sent you the reference number and the options in the email before,

Please let me know if you wish to engage with us and go for a payment plan or a debt solution.
If you want to sort it directly you can call CRA directly and pay the amount in full to settle the debt.

Thank You
