FCML Debt Collecters

I have received emails from someone claiming to be from FCML bailiffs and try to get me to pay a debt I don’t recognise. When I have asked for more information they said it’s from Marshall Hoarse which google says vis HMRC was dissolved in 2014. I think it’s a scam. Has anyone has similar. Thanks

Yes a total scam and a quick google throws this up. https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6603249/suspicious-email FCLM is also based in Malawi and only seems to have been set up in Feb 2025 if their FB profile is anything to go by.

Unless there's a court judgement or liability order for Council Tax Debt Collectors can be ignored.

They have a really old phone number of mine and have offered to let me set a payment plan via WhatsApp. However he can’t spell WhatsApp which is what made me even more doubtful it was real. I googled the Marshall Hoarse place and saw it had been dissolved in 2014. ‘Adam’ then offered to give me a contact number Hatton for them and when I said yes please he has dis appeared. 😂😂😂 shall see if he tries again tomorrow.

It’s actually Marshall Hoares that was dissolved in 2014. There is another thread on MN from another poster in Nov last year who received a similar email mentioning Marshall Hoarse but only Marshall Hoares Debt Collectors existed as a company and there is info even then that it wasn’t legit.

If any of this is legit which I hugely doubt I won’t be paying anything without a CCJ against me. I have had experience with the HCE bailiffs before and they have been nothing but helpful and supportive.

Yes I had exactly the same email today. They stated removal of my goods. They said the debt was Marshall Hoarse which I’ve never heard of. Very Baffling Thanks Claire
