How to check USA loan lender is legit

Hello,
I need to verify that a USA based lender is legit. I have tried contacting office number,no pick up, have tried to contact Securities and Exchange Commission,no answer. Ive checked with creditsafe, no suspicious activity they could detect.
Iam wary of paying upfront broker fee to a uk based broker's personal bank account. How do I check? Thank you

I’d tryst my intuition on this one - if they can’t prove their veracity and don’t even pick up the phone, I’d avoid. Especially if you’re paying upfront.

Why do you need a US loan?

Are you based in the US? Why do you need a UK based broker for this?
