Hi everyone,
I'm currently claiming this for my half of nursery fees. Had an idea the other day to start claiming on the entire invoice and ask my ex to cover the rest, that way we both benefit - I pay no fees and he pays 15 vs 50%! But is this allowed…
Thanks so much!

They share care of the child equally and yet OP claims the UC- so he is not eligible.

That’s not what I asked. You said if their income was combined like they were together they wouldn’t be eligible, I asked how you no this?

Hi everyone, I messaged via journal - UC thinks it's fine to do this and that I could even claim on the entire invoice and still ask my ex for 50%! They're not concerned about private arrangements. I was told I was being 'soft'. Not something you heard from a govt worker everyday? Still I don't know what to do. Feels wrong to ask for 15%, not to mention 50%! Any of you doing this currently? Thanks all!
