Pay under paid tax

There has been an issue with my tax code and as result I have underpaid tax. I would rather just pay what I owe in a lump sum than have tax code changed and earn less each month. Is there a way I can do this online ?

No not online. You will need to ring and discuss it with them.

Well we're the other way around, we want to get DH's tax code adjusted so that the underpayment goes out as a steady drip each month through paye but we had to pay it as a single lump sum. That's because we didn't complete the Self Assessment form until the January after the end of the financial year. Apparently if we'd told them in October we could have had a PAYE adjustment.

The link to make a lump sum payment was easy to find on the Self Assessment bit of the HMRC website though.
