On-line or non-resident Bank account Spain

I live in the Uk but about to get money from inheritance in Spain. This will generate cost in Euros and also income (in two installments) over the next few months. I would like to minimise cost of transfers by opening a non-resident/on-line account.
Any advise? I only have a salary that goes straignt to a current account here. Totally ignorant on fiannce. Any help appreciated.

I would use a currency broker. We did this with www.currenciesdirect.com when we sold a Spanish property as I'm aware that Spanish bank transfer fees and rate of exchange to UK banks is highly prohibitive/costly. I think you would need a Spanish NIE number to open a Spanish bank account.

It's really difficult to open an account in a place where you are not resident. I can't speak for Spain but I know you have to have a fiscal number to open even a basic account in Portugal.

Just open a Euro account here in the UK to have it sent over.
