Property in Leeds

Anyone able to point me towards reasonable areas in Leeds please?
My DS is looking to buy a small house. He's working in the area but his colleagues keep suggesting areas that are upmarket, which he can't afford. His DS will live with him so wants to ensure he doesn't end up buying "in the wrong" area.
Can anyone help please?

He doesn't know Leeds, very new to the area, except the centre so you have all been very helpful and I thank you.

I used to live in Morley and ran up the hill home from work. You’ll get fit enough after a few times.

Morley/Gildersome/Tingley/Drighlington are all fine for that budget. If you don’t know Leeds I would avoid Woodhouse because without a good area knowledge you’ll end up in a shithole.
