HL "Active"savings account

Maybe this is new thing. Maybe I've just had my head in the sand.

I've got a savings account at is about to come to an end the 1 year period of high interest. You know...new customer, x interest for y months before it drops to z. So I was having a google for alternative savings account. When I came this:

www.hl.co.uk/savings/savings-account

It appears that you open an account with HL then allocate your savings to various HL "partners" from within.

What appeals to be is that I don't gather idle savings accounts in my wake as I move to the best offer out there every 12ish months.

Are these good products? What are folks opinions on these? Thanks!

I use it and love it.

All my savings that are not cash ISAs are in one place. You may be able to get 0.1% extra elsewhere but I can put my money in separate accounts to mature at different times (and different tax years) and each bank is individually covered by the FSA. I can plan and reinvest much more easily and therefore actually get better
returns. Plus it makes my tax return easier.

I do think it's worth moving a cash ISA around though for better rates

There is another platform that does the same thing but I can't recall the name.

Thanks! Good to hear it's working for you which helps me. I've got ISA covered off elsewhere for now. So it's savings accounts I'm looking at.
