PIP decision after assessment in early Dec’24

Hey, just wondering if anyone had any advice. I’ve had some deterioration in conditions in recent years so finally got myself up to being diagnosed and turns out I have a few some chronic conditions. I applied for PIP in September last year and had my assessment in early December. I haven’t heard anything back yet, other than it’s with a decision maker and has been since last week. Anyone have any idea or experience how long it’s taken recently? I asked if I would receive a text as a response to the decision and I was told yes I would. Just wondering what the text says? Never claimed anything like this before so sorry for the millions of questions!
Thanks all

It varies, but it can take a good couple of months between assessment and decision, and Christmas may have added on a week or two. Sometimes it's longer. One of my clients had her assessment at the start of September and got the decision at the start of this month.

It may be rubbish, but they have taken on loads of new assessors and I've heard that the new one's reports have to go through a lot more checking while they're training, so someone who gets assessed by a new assessor may have to wait a bit longer.
