How do I raise a dispute with Transunion

I’ve tried through the website but it just seems to be in a circular reference when I try to dispute

My issue is that when I transferred my supply to octopus energy in September, I was told by British Gas and Octopus all outstanding payments were made and I stopped my direct debit. British Gas subsequently charged me and I met this payment within a month when I saw my credit score decrease as they did not send me any messages about the charge, either by email/phone call/ letter or text.

My balance with them is now zero but Transunion keep decreasing my credit score for missing payments.

I asked them to correct it as a general query but I think I need to raise a dispute it’s just, I can’t after I view my statutory credit report it gives me no options to raise the dispute - does anyone have any advice? After 35 years of excellent credit I’m a bit gutted it’s been destroyed in 4 months

You need to raise it with the original creditor. TU are only reporting on the information they're given. British gas need to go to TU and ask them to amend it. It's quite hard to get them to do though.

Looks like it’s now resolved but on my report for six years - I’m never going back to British Gas - I always have the worst service every time I’m tempted back
