Will costing £600 + vat - is this excessive?

DH & I need replacement wills, including IHT and trust advice. I've been quoted £600+vat and just wondered if this was overly expensive? Previously we paid £250ish with another solicitors but at that point the wills were a lot simpler and I wouldn't be 100% confident using that solicitor again
Opinions please!

doesn't sound too bad

Get more quotes? Is it £600 each or for both?

Yes VV expensive - Tax efficient mirror wills should leave you change out of £200+Vat, unless circs are very challenging - eg ltd co's, high assets, offshore/forgien assets.

Wouldn't pay that much. Surely there's something in the middle of what you paid before and recent quote. More quotes!

seems v expensive. I used to work for a solicitors and we would do wills for less than £100 each depending on complexity.

I charge £210 plus VAT for two mirror wills assuming that they're straightforward. If I have to set up a trust or something I'll charge more. That's in the Home Counties.

That is much much more expensive than our (mirror) wills, and that included a trust for our children if we both die before they're 24, and also enduring power of attorney.
