Hi all,

I know only in Scotland it’s a bank holiday on Monday 2nd of December for St Andrews day (substitue) day as it fall on the weekend.

so I’m due child benefit on the Monday will I continue to get this on the Monday as it’s not a bank holiday in England or will it be early due to the Bank holiday in Scotland I can’t seem to get my head around it.

I don’t want to call them tomoz and be a pain in the bum, but it’s my sons birthday next Sunday and I was just trying to work some money out so I know if I need to get some money of my mum until this comes through

thanks guys!

I think this Scottish Government page (in combination with the UK gov one above) would seem to show that there is no change because of the St Andrews Day holiday - on the Scottish Government page there is no November date listed for this year or next and the next bank holiday which affects benefit payments is Christmas.

Bank holiday payment dates - mygov.scot

But in any case, child benefit comes from the UK government so won't be impacted by the St Andrews Day holiday - and you should receive it as normal

Hope that helps!
