I’ve not yet been called for a UC review, but I know they’re doing it with every claimant.
I’m worrying for a few reasons:
- I’ve switched accounts lots of times to get the switch incentive bonuses. Therefore I’ve lost track of all the accounts I’ve previously had.
- I have recently discovered within the last year about dummy accounts to get an additional switch bonus, so I set up a chase account specifically for this reason and I’ve used it to switch about 4 times in total to get the bonus each time.
My concern is that if they feel the need to ask for more than just 4 months statements (which seems standard) I will really struggle with this because of how many times I’ve switched/all the closed accounts I have.
We have almost hit the £6k limit a few times. Also I had a £2k back payment from pip at the start of last month which I declared and it’s been disregarded for 12 months anyway.
Another slight concern I have is that I sell on Vinted and have made £3000 on there but over a period of 4 years and it’s all old clothes etc of mine.
Can anyone who has been in a similar situation or knows about benefits/UC please help me? As I want to be prepared when I am called for a review.
