Universal Credit Review Anxiety

I’ve not yet been called for a UC review, but I know they’re doing it with every claimant.
I’m worrying for a few reasons:

  1. I’ve switched accounts lots of times to get the switch incentive bonuses. Therefore I’ve lost track of all the accounts I’ve previously had.
  2. I have recently discovered within the last year about dummy accounts to get an additional switch bonus, so I set up a chase account specifically for this reason and I’ve used it to switch about 4 times in total to get the bonus each time.

My concern is that if they feel the need to ask for more than just 4 months statements (which seems standard) I will really struggle with this because of how many times I’ve switched/all the closed accounts I have.
We have almost hit the £6k limit a few times. Also I had a £2k back payment from pip at the start of last month which I declared and it’s been disregarded for 12 months anyway.

Another slight concern I have is that I sell on Vinted and have made £3000 on there but over a period of 4 years and it’s all old clothes etc of mine.

Can anyone who has been in a similar situation or knows about benefits/UC please help me? As I want to be prepared when I am called for a review.

I had my review all I had to do was provide 4 month bank statements and a passport pic that's it and I have heard nothing back. Can you print 4 months of bank statements
Did the vinted payments go in your bank account that you get benefits and yes they will disregard pip back payment's.

The £6k isn't a limit, they just deduct a small amount of UC for anything you have over that. I set mine to £7k even though I don't quite have that much as a buffer so they take some £17 unnecessarily.

You haven't been called up yet so stop panicking but start getting things in order.
I'd stop switching for now, give it a rest and let your accounts settle to make life easier on you.
Close any accounts you no longer use and save the closure notice.
Either go back to paper statements which you keep, or store saving all your statements in a folder. I just send them to myself as an attachment and keep them in an email folder so I have a record of them.
You can sell your own old items as long as it isn't a business buying and selling regularly, do you have any records of the sales in your Vinted account that will match the money in your bank account? If so I'd save / screen shot that too.

What do you worry might happen?

I'm mostly involved with people on migration notices and have little engagement with ongoing claims but I can't see why you might have an issue.

If they give you a once over and get you challenged on something come back here and I'm sure somebody will be able to help.
