I need to migrate over to universal credit from tax credits. I want to apply on 11th November. Can I start my application tomorrow and spend a few days on it? Also how recent do bank statements need to be? Thanks in advance

The claim system is set up as a to do list with tasks about you, your housing, who lives with you, work, health etc.

You can split it into bite sized chunks if you want/need to though I'd recommend completing a task rather than stopping half way through.

The application asks you about accounts and the amount in £/p in each of them

Whether they want to see statements and how far back seems to be a luck if the draw thing though I suspect there's an algorithm somewhere.
