I don't really understand this 10p tax thing
I'm ignorant and usually just ignore these things, what does it mean?

nannyL · 25/04/2008 18:46

if you earn less than £15k you will now pay more thax and have less NET income (with the same gross salary)

If you earn more than £15k you will have more money in your pay packet until about £42k i think then its about the same (i think)

oh fecking marvellous, just in time for me to drop to part time and go on matty

ScoobyDoo · 25/04/2008 18:55

I thought it had been scraped now?

Quattrocento · 25/04/2008 18:56

Yes, that's the point, scrapping the 10p tax band makes people worse off

frazzledbutcalm · 25/04/2008 18:57

I thought it was something like that nannyL - I don't understand why they make us lower earners suffer, we can least afford it.
