Savings account for kids

Hello lovely MN,

I am looking to open a savings account for my little one, she's only 2.

I do have a couple of banks in mind (like Barclays and Halifax) but there are others that have really good interest rates but never heard of.

Would like to know what your experience is with some the banks and saving accounts for kids in general?

Thank you

I have Halifax savings accounts for my children. The interest rates were good at the time and are now 5.5%. Can only put a max of £1200 in annually and then it transfers to another savings account, those rates are 3.35%.
Would be interested to hear what others do too.
