In case you haven't seen the good news, Next shop workers have won their equal pay claim.
This led me to some thinking. The settlement will be backdated to 2012.
- Will the employer have to make up pension contributions for that time?
- If the employee was in receipt of income support benefits in that time, will they have to repay any of those benefits?
We have an interest as being included in one of the supermarket claims which are slowly going through the courts.
