Premium bonds for child turning 16

I realise when DD turns 16, we won't be able to add or withdraw from the account and it is a bit difficult it seems to change the details to hers from what I have read on here. Although we trust her and she is at the moment good with money, we don't want her to have access to this pot as young as 16 (far from the maximum but more than 5 figures). We have decided it is in everyone's interest to move the money out (will leave just 1k in).

When I go to transfer the money into my bank account, the system asks me, whether I would like to wait for the new draw (which is the day of her birthday). Would that be allowed or would this cancel the withdrawal?
Does anyone know?

Thanks for any advice.

Given risking it would leave your 16 year old able to access hundreds of thousands of pounds do you want to take that chance?

Does she even know the money is there and how to access it? my kids had money in premium bonds they didn't even know they had so we didn't bother moving it but then we were talking hundreds so not quite the same.
