Barclays salary available this weekend

I get paid on the 27th and bank with Barclays. This month that is Tuesday.

I feel like when the 27th is a Monday I receive the funds on a Saturday. Anyone else bank with Barclays and can confirm?

If so, with Monday being a bank holiday, am I likely to receive Tuesdays salary on Saturday morning?

NHS is the 27th never had a Monday paid earlier unless it is a BH.

Tuesday is not a Bank Holiday so doubt it.

Surely it's your payroll at your firm that this is down to, not your bank?

I'm with Barclays. Tuesday is a normal working day so wouldn't expect to receive it early.

I'm with Barclays and yes this is what happens. If it falls around Easter, I would get the funds the Thursday (night before Good Friday).

I bank with Barclays and a Monday payday always clears into my account on the Saturday, but my employer banks with the same branch of Barclays as I do which I've always assumed is the reason (colleagues who bank with other banks don't have it clear early).

But Mondays are normally working days and still go in on the Saturday - almost like it’s paid on the Friday and they clear it on the Saturday rather than waiting for the next working day

Think it’s a Barclays thing in general. So with Monday being a bank holiday I’m thinking a Tuesday payday will be with me on Saturday (in the same way a Monday would normally be)

In that case I agree OP, I'm sure I've had that in the past when my payday has fallen on the Tuesday after a bank holiday Monday.

It's not. I'm with Barclays like the OP and if our payday is a Monday it clears into my account Saturday. For my colleagues with HSBC, Nat West etc it clears on the Monday. We're all paid by the same payroll, the Monday date appears on all our payslips.

Yes it will be in on Saturday. Banks do not recognise weekends or bank holidays and systems update early hours of the morning. Work for Barclays.
