Can I put my laptop as an expense on my tax return?

I sell on ebay. pc died last week. had to ebay from library. Brought laptop. can now continue to ebay from home. can i put it down as an expense?

I am. Mine is an online business, and I intend to put my new laptop down.

If it yes you can oput it down as a capital allowance.

If you you use it wholey as business you can put 100% of puchase price in you capital allowances pool. If you use it 60% for business you put 100% in teh pool but each year you can only claim 60% of the writing down allowance for it.
