Bought something online, hasn’t arrived, can’t contact company!!

I bought a car seat from Little Love Baby for over £300. It was meant to be shipped the next day.

It’s now been over a week and no notification of it having been shipped. No response to my emails. No response to my Facebook message. Phone doesn’t work.

What do I do?? 😖 Please help.

Companies house info indicate this is a business in trouble. If you paid by credit card I would contact your bank.

Debit card. Usually I’d use credit card, but I used our joint account. I’ll open a dispute with our bank but since it’s debit I’m worried I won’t get anywhere.

Lots of debit cards have protection now too, including Visa and Mastercard. Chances are your bank can help you.

Ok I hope so! Thank you. It’s VISA. I’m gonna do the online form in my lunch break. Just feel so stupid for assuming it was a legit company… this has never happened to me before!

If it’s Visa you should be able to do a chargeback no problem!

I’ve put the chargeback request through VISA, though it’s now been the allotted 5 working days and they’ve not come back to me so I’ve messaged them. Fingers crossed.

I think the seller took payments from her website direct to a PayPal account? Idk how these things work, but on my bank statement it says PAYPAL then the seller name. Don’t know if that makes it more complicated for VISA. I just paid on the website, had no idea it was going through PayPal.

I also did some sleuthing and found the business owner’s personal account on Facebook so messaged her (very politely). Don’t know if that’ll help at all but I just need this money back 😭
