Mortgage Product Transfer - change of circs

Our fixed rate deal is coming to an end and we're looking at doing a product transfer to stay with the same lender.

When we took out the mortgage we were both full time employed and we had no dependents. Now my husband is in the same job, I'm a SAHM (might be part time employee when the new rate begins) and we have one child.

We can more than afford the new rate just on my husband's salary. Total loan amount is about 2x his income so very affordable. Not taking any extra money or changing the term.

Nowhere in the application have they asked us if our circumstances have changed. No questions, no tick boxes to confirm things are the same.

Does this mean we can go forward with the application as offered, without having to contact them to tell them our circumstances have changed?

Google suggests we can, but just wanted to check.

Yes, that's correct. You do not need to inform your lender of changes yo your circumstances, whether that's a new job, better job or no job.

Yep my lender said the same for just a mortgage transfer. Quite scary how easy it was to renew on online banking. I asked about it when I took my new deal out and they said I wouldn't need to send all that info again even though I said we were considering a family and part time working in the much longer term

Thanks, ladies! We'd been looking at moving and found it difficult to get an agreement in principle so we're worried renewing the mortgage would also be hard!
