When should I expect my tax return forms to arrive?

I've got my 07/08 accounts pretty much ready to go to the accountant but want to send my tax return forms along at the same time, does anyone know when should they be here?

you probably won't get forms, just the notice to submit a return.
your accountant will probably be e-filing (or at the very least using a software package that will generate a return) and won't want the HMRC copy.

You can do it all online.

I got my forms in the post today.

I can't do it online, I had a peek last year and got very boggled!

So I can just send my accounts in with no official stuff and he'll do it all for me?

well hopefully he can
He will have your UTR and that's all he needs.
Of course he might be stuck in the dark ages and do it all by hand on your original paper return??

Last year we got a printed thing back so I guess he did it online? I really need to find out exactly how much we earnt this year so I can tell the tax credit people.

he may do it online, but he is more likely to have tax return software that he uses to print the return, then e-file it.
Send it in, tell him in letter that you need info for tax credits.
For what it is worth - our tax department would LOVE you if you sent in tax return info now, they have nothing to do atm and would love a few returns early (and less of a rush in January).
