Santander online bankint reset question

Possibly stupid question but just wondering if anyone else has recently been trying to access online banking with santander, not the app. I need to change my email address and apparently can do it on online banking. When i try to log in it tells me the details are wrong so i click to reset and it asks for my name, date of birth and then next page asks if i have a credit or debit card, then asks for my 16 digit credit card and my cvv number. That seems dodgy to me, or am I being paranoid.

You definitely reset with the long card number - but I don't recall it asking for the 3 digits on the back as well (did this last week)

@NoTicket thank you for the reply its the combination of the number and the cvv that makes me concerned. Hope someone can help me and let me know if it is dodgy in some way. It looks like it is santander online banking but it has made me super paranoid.

No, this sounds really dodgy. I’d give them a call. When you finally get through they’re usually quite helpful, especially if it’s a fraud related thing (which I think phishing would come under).

Call the number on the back of your Santander card if you're concerned?ie don't rely on a number you've googled)

They were doing some upgrade on Fri/Sat night, btw.

I had this yesterday and again, just now. Both times I re-entered the exact same details (at least, I think they were the same!) and it let me in at the second time of asking.
