For a little context, my husband and I are separated and are about the start divorce proceedings.
Our son sadly died recently of cancer and my husband's work charity gave us (into his bank account) £2k towards funeral costs and anything else we might need help with financially.
A family member also created a GoFundMe which raised around £4k and this also got paid into my husband's account. I am UC which is why it got paid to him, as it would affect the amount that I get paid as it would take me over my savings threshold.
My husband doesn't have a lot of money and recently he has been away a lot, staying in hotels and weekend breaks. I asked him for a list of what the donated money has been spent on, and he just said that he will pay for the funeral and then donate the rest to one of the charities. I am worried that he has spent some of the money on other things.
I also paid £500 behind the bar at my son's funeral so that people could have a drink. My husband agreed with me that this is a funeral cost and he would pay me back from the donated money, so far he hasn't, despite me reminding him.
How can I get a list of what has been spent? Every time I have sent my husband an email, his girlfriend posts about me on FB/TikTok which is now under investigation by the police, (I have another thread on this) so I am thinking about seeing a solicitor but I am not sure what is the correct course of action to take.
