Just a heads up really...to all those with Octopus Energy. It has transpired that for the past 4 years that have been swapping our day & night energy readings around in error and overcharged us by a huge amount.
We are in the process of sorting it out with them.
If you are with them and on a day / night rate, please check your readings and make sure that you and them have Rate 1 & Rate 2 allocated to day / night as appropriate.
We were negligent in not checking each bill, but were overwhelmed with how expensive our bills had become so finally (after them joining us for extra money) sat down and thoroughly checked.
