NI credits disappearing - how can I pay?

I’m self employed, very low earner atm. Say about £5k pa

My entitlement to NI credit will disappear this year as the youngest is turning 12. How do I pay these? I used to pay them monthly but for some reason this stopped and I can’t seem to find how I pay them?

Is it form CA5601? Or is this a different type of NI?

This suggests you pay them as part of self assessment process.

Hmm that’s how I set it up years ago but then I got a refund. Ugh. I didn’t want a refund.

Nothing seems straightforward with HMRC!
