Credit cards for school fees

Bodyshame1980 · 12/04/2024 19:20

Does anyone use CCs for school fees to gain rewards? I tried our AMEX it’s not accepted.

Any ideas on cards that will be accepted?

Thanks

Chase gives 0.5% cashback on a debit card.

You need to ask your individual school as it depends on

  1. Do they accept card payments at all, and
  2. If they accept credit cards as well as debit cards as traditionally the former attracts much higher charges - I don't know anything about school fees but car dealers often only accept debit cards as credit card fees could be hundreds of pounds per car whereas a debit card will be about 30 p.

However you need to also look at the T&Cs of the card as Chase excludes college and university fees from cashback and has a max of £15 per month so it might not pay as much or even nothing at all

Ours accepts Visa & Mastercard but definitely not Amex. No idea about rewards.
