National insurance contributions

I’ve had a letter off the tax man saying I might have paid too much national insurance in 22/23 due to have 2 employers. Do we know if this means they know I’ve overpaid or checking if I need to pay more? I’ve had real issues with HMRC saying I keep needing to pay more tax. I’ve just managed to have a zero bill, yet I could do with the cash. If I have overpaid, how quick do they get it to you?

if you have two employers you likely have paid excess NIC; fill the form and attach your P60 for the tax year from both jobs and send them over; they will pay by cheque or bank transfer, they used to be quick within 2 -3 months to repay but now there is backlog and delay, but you will get your money back
