Housing benefit and mutual exchange

I am currently on housing benefit and going through a mutual exchange, we might be working with a possible start of tenancy date of the 8th of april, so I will have moved out on either the 6th or the 7th.
My next housing benefit payment date falls on the 8th of april, from my understanding housing benefit is paid 4 weeks in arrears so will the payment on the 8th of April still go through on that date if I'm not in that address on the 8th for the 4 weeks previous I was still in the property before moving on the 6th/7th (previous payment before that was 11th of march).

I'm moving within the same borough so doesn't action a trigger to universal credit just yet and can continue on housing benefit until migration letter is sent so would be a case of having to do a change of address form with the council which I'm guessing would be them updating their systems and the housing benefit claim starting for the new address from the 8th of april when the new tenancy starts.

Or do i have to inform them of the move before the 8th of april, let them delay that housing benefit paid on the 8th, give them the necessary forms, let them update the system/address and housing benefit of the weeks I was in my then would be house from the 11th of March- 6/7th of April then be backdated.
