Anyone make money freelance writing. If so, any recommendation?

Hi, I'm keen to make a few hundred extra per month, and enjoy writing. I do spend about 80% of my day job writing in some form, so have experience. I did a degree in English Lit five years ago, and have about the equivalent experience in terms of years. Areas I'm experienced in:

Blog writing
Social media copy
Internal comms
News stories (less confident in this area)
Email campaigns and push notifications
Newsletters

I was on UpWork and did a few pieces on there, but they are often to tight deadlines so it can be tricky to handle alongside a dayjob. I do currently work freelance for one place VERY sporadically. I enjoy the work, but to be honest, after researching, writing and reviewing I probably only come out with £10 an hour, maybe a bit less. But it's very flexible, just as and when I want to write something I can.

Has anyone had any luck with organisations that perhaps pay a bit better per hour, but are quite flexible? As in, not six hour deadlines 😭 I'm not looking to freelance full time, but just would just like to make a little extra money doing something I enjoy!

Do you write fiction?

There are some good sites such as Royal Road, Scribble Hub, Webnovel, WordPress, Wattpad, and Archive Of Our Own where you can offer early content for paying member on e.g. patreon.
