Could anyone help me work out how much my wage will be reduced?!

Hi,
I'm a teacher who is currently on mat leave. I work PT (3 days per week) but I'm toying with the idea of dropping my hours to 2 days.

I'm rubbish at working out how much I'll actually loose out on taking into account reductions in tax, childcare etc.

Is there anyone kind enough to do the maths for me? I'm happy to send the nitty gritty details privately to someone but for obvious reasons don't want to post these publicly. For anyone that doesn't know, a teacher's salary is miniscule (by MN standards, at least) so would need someone who won't be judgemental. 🫣

What’s your pay grade? I’m UPS3 with no TLR’s and work 3 days.

I currently work 3 days so looking for how much I'd make on 2 days. Thank you though!

I find the twinkl salary calculator easy to use to calculate the difference in pay: https://www.twinkl.co.uk/salary-calculator

I think the posters are asking for more information like where you are on the pay scale before they can advise you!

Thank you! These are both really helpful suggestions that I will look properly at in the morning.
