Please could you help me, I’ve got a claim for letter, is this a CCJ?!

It’s from a parking charge in 2020, I initially emailed the company (in 2020) to ask if could I pay in instalments and they agreed (I have the proof of emails) but now I have received this.

Can I contest this with the proof of emails or is it better to just pay and be done with it?

so stressed

@Stressed2death I think you need somebody to go through the documents with you. It could well be a letter starting proceedings but if there's no letter before action those proceedings MAY be defective.

OTOH the debt collection industry are know for the amoral barstewards they can be and are trying to intimidate.

Take a breath.

You didn’t pay for parking.
You got a demand and you still didn’t pay. The agreement to pay in instalments means nothing.

They are now chasing you for the money by issuing a claim in the Small Claims Court.

If you pay the fine that will be the end of the matter. Just do that.

Thanks for your reply, I didn’t get a letter before action, it’s been such a worrying morning 😱

@Heather37231 Thanks for your reply, I agree I have been very stressed at this letter, I am just calming down. This has been my first (and hopefully last) parking ticket…I am 40 been driving since the age of 17!
I have contacted the company and asked how to pay.
