Hi,
My son's granny keeps sending cheques made out to him and I haven't opened him his own account yet. Any advice on best ones out there re interest etc?
I know Nationwide have a reasonable one, as I have one for my godson - any other suggestions.
This is extra to his Trust Fund which I have done.
Thanks

I think they are all much of a muchness to be honest. Make sure you keep an accurate record of where the money has come from as the inland revenue will want to know that you didn't give it to him.

halifax do a save4it account, the interest rate is very good. Both my ds's have one of these accounts

hope this helps

Thanks for the tips - great link Ambi and I think filtering money out of a high interest savings account into a Regular saver account like the Halifax one that pays 10% interest is a really smart way of maximising the savings overall.
