Loan for bad credit score

Hi All,

I never thought I'd post this but my credit score is bad and I've been paying off my debts and trying to build it up but now my clutch in my car has gone and it's completely undrivable.

I need my car as I work full time and have to get my son to nursery which is in one direction and then to work and my family like 200 miles away so there's no relying on my mom to do stuff.

I literally cannot move it and it's going to be about £800 to get fixed and then I need to pay to have it towed. I'm so stressed and so annoyed because when I thought the clutch felt weird I took it to Halfords only to be told it was slightly worn but fine!

I'm honestly so desperate to get this fixed can anyone recommend anywhere that does loans?

It may be worth getting a second/third opinion on the car before you pay anything out too - a few years ago I had two separate mobile mechanics come out and quote me £2500 and £3200 to fix my car which was only worth about £1500. I was going to write it off, had it towed to a reliable garage a friend had recommended - turned out it had a dead battery and needed petrol. They charged me £10 to fix it, I drove it for another year and then sold it with no issues at all!

I ended up getting the loan with my local credit union in the end
