Hi, hope this isn't too daft a question! How much difference does it make if you work 30 hours or less? I'm a teacher and not actually sure how many hours I officially work. I work 4 full days a week or 8/10ths of full time, but we don't actually have an hours per week as far as I'm aware. I was thinking 40 hours is full time so 8/10ths of that, but not sure if that's correct. Any suggestions? Thanks!

i think the main distinctions are 16 hours and 30 hours as part and full time standards. My aunt was advised not to mention weeks she didn't work the 30 hours by the man in the tax office! Plus as a teacher you have hours not actually teaching that form part of your work anyway? i'm thinking marking, paperwork, staff meetings. I'm sure this pushes you over 30 hours!

Thanks. It certainly does! I just wondered if it was checked how I could say I knew how many hours it was!
