Just waiting to tick over to midnight to buy another large block, determined to max out in the next few months, only £10K to go.

This is the best month to buy as Feb is shortest month 🤣

If there are two £1m prizes, is it technically possible to win both of them (ok, odds are unlikely, but technically)?
DP reckons they wouldn't allow someone to win both high prizes, but if all bonds are treated separately....

I'm not on it, again!

That’s not the February list.

Just spotted this thread in active. Can anyone advice me? My children were both given a few hundred pounds in PB when they were tiny. We have moved house since then and I have no idea if they've ever won anything. Is there a way I can find out? I'm not sure I have any info about them except perhaps one letter from years ago.

MyOtherProfile · 31/01/2024 07:21

Advise not advice!

Mindymomo · 31/01/2024 07:24

@MyOtherProfile give them a call or you can try and log on to open account. There is just a prize checker on website, if you know the account number. Either way you need to update details.

Thank you. I just called but because they're both over 16 they need to call. At least we have made a start!

CaveMum · 31/01/2024 09:53

NS&I are really good at tracking people down - eventually! DH got a letter from them last year about some PB’s his mum bought him 35 years ago! They’d tracked him down through the electoral roll.

Wrapunzel · 31/01/2024 09:53

I've just done a little spreadsheet to calculate my winnings on a 12 month rolling basis. In December it was 2.64% on £11,350, didn't win in Jan so 2.25% on £11,129. I've doubled holdings for this draw so fingers crossed it bumps up!

I don't think so, as in my head it's essentially a raffle or lottery so once your ticket / bond number is picked out of the pot, it's kept out of the pot and then not available for re-picking. That's just my assumption though!

Blondeshavemorefun · 31/01/2024 10:30

Technically yes but very very unlikely

And high winner list is tomorrow so will show Jan at the moment

I had similar with my son and basically I called them, they asked to speak to son to confirm he existed then I went back to talking to them! It’s hard to get a 16 year old to say what you want them to say otherwise. NSI were happy with that

I presume you could win both on two different bond numbers?? Wow, that would be really exciting!

boatgirl81 · 31/01/2024 11:04

I think it is a raffle as described above but each £1 is a different raffle ticket. So if you have £1000 then in theory you have a 1000 chances at the the million prize. Highly unlikely to win both though.

I have always wondered if anyone has ever one twice, has anyone been lucky enough to win a large prize multiple times over many months.

Yes, that's what I mean!
I assume there's no policy excluding this.

I'm still in a grump at not winning 122m on the Euromills last night. Would be nice if my PBs could try a little bit harder to right that particular wrong! 🤔 lol

DeepfriedPizza · 31/01/2024 12:26

I've just had a missed call from an unknown number. I read that Agent Million phones first👀

TinkysWinky · 31/01/2024 13:29

Genuinely all excited about this lol, post back!

Eaumyword · 31/01/2024 13:53

I've had 2 x missed calls today.
The first turned out to be my hospital appointment and the second was for insulation, grr 😡

MrsWombat · 31/01/2024 14:12

I'd be really annoyed if they turned up at my work. Do you think they called first, and the winner said to go to their work? I'd want to keep things quiet and not have to explain why the Men In Black had turned up.

AhhhThereWeAreThen · 31/01/2024 14:34

I had an unknown phone caller this morning - alas it was a spam call!

Bimblesalong · 31/01/2024 15:26

I’m genuinely hoping they’ll turn up at my hotel in Spain (joke) but equally keeping an eye on the nest door camera from home 🤣

BountySunshine · 31/01/2024 15:30

Just had a call from an unknown number…

turned out to be the electricity company saying the meter needed replacing and when would be convenient to attend to replace.

For a moment I genuinely thought, “ooh maybe they pretend to be a utility company to check your are in”, but then the dates of availability were all in weeks time and I came back down to earth.
