I'm looking to buy something from USA which is $99. Postage to UK is an additional $20. I expect I'll have to pay 20% vat/import fees.
The shop also offers to buy the same item from a distributor in Italy for €145 including shipping.
Would I not have to pay the same import fees being outside EU.
No experience with buying from abroad so not sure if it matters which to buy from?
