ACurlyWurlyTail · 18/10/2023 08:20

I have been paying life insurance for a few years and they have suddenly sent me money. I have searched and havent recevied a letter and the account if not saying anything online.
Online shows its still a live policy
I have googled and it says that a few years ago they refunded an overcharge but cant see anything recent.
I cant phone until much, much later today but wonered if anyone else has had the same thing.

In that case just buzz them later

Outnumbered99 · 18/10/2023 15:05

For that amount i would do nothing for a few days (as long as your policy is definitely still live) they have probably written to you with an explanation, so id hang on a bit for the post

Good luck contacting someone there who will help- Aviva are absolutely hopeless at sorting out errors. They made an error with my pension and 17 months, 15 calls, endless letters and e mails and complaints to the ombudsman and they still haven't rectified it. Bunch of incompetent clowns..

Did you ever find an answer to this? I’ve had the same today.

ACurlyWurlyTail · 10/11/2023 16:14

@Teachermum4 many days later we discovered they had miscalculated our payments. A letter from them arrived explaining this (days after the payment and also before we managed to speak to a person who could help)
