I've been looking at the website and tried calling them but huge wait times!

If you pay into works pension, does this get off taken off from your £50k Ie you can earn quite a bit over
That amount but because they're taking 500 a month from your salary for pension)
I hope that makes sense?

Which suggests that if you decrease your salary in favour of your pension via salary sacrifice it can help.

But be sure you understand all the implications of taking a salary sacrifice.

Check your payslips and see if the gross pay and taxable pay differ. The taxable pay should hopefully equal your gross pay minus your pension contribution(and any other salary sacrifice elements if you have them). But the taxable figure is the one you want to be aiming for the £50k rather than the gross figure
