Mortgage whilst on maternity leave

I am currently earning around £65k (including bonus) per year.
I have a mortgage with my husband but things have been slightly rocky lately and I am just wanting to ensure I know where I stand financially should the worst happen and we break up.
... I'm also 36 weeks pregnant!
Does anybody know how obtaining a mortgage would work whilst on maternity leave? I intend to go back to work 4 days a week so obviously would be earning closer to 50k.
But would they lend to me whilst on maternity leave or would I need to wait until I was back working?
(I know the obvious answer is to speak to a mortgage adviser but with the relationship situation atm it seems too formal and premature so just wondering if others can provide any experience)

Will you recieved maternitybpay? The thing they will look at is your incoming so if you receive full pay then your golden. If your going down to statutory mat pay could be more of an issue

Sorry not an expert but hopefully bump and someone else may be able to help
