Tax Credits and going back to work

Quick question. I've just gone back to work after maternity leave on temporary agency post. Do I have to inform the TC people now or wait till April and new financial year?

You can inform them if you wish but your tax credits wont change till april.

I would prob contact them now and give a guestimate of your earnings from april 07 to april 08 better than them ending up overpaying you as it can take weeks to sort out come April.

Contact them now, they stopped all of ours one year because we didn't inform them about dh's bonus. At least that's what I was told.
