£200 on 3K

littleblackcat27 · 02/11/2023 07:28

@ErnestCelendine Congrats on your win! Could I please ask whether your £10k is in bits and pieces or whether it is one lump sum?

boniobiscuit · 02/11/2023 07:34

We both had full holdings until a few weeks ago when we made our house purchase. Left £1k in one of the accounts and, no surprise, no win this month.

I feel a bit flat as there was rarely a month when we didn't clear between £100 - 400

My optimistic self still believes I'll win big one day, even on vastly reduced holdings 🤞

OneFrenchEgg · 02/11/2023 07:37

Ok so experiment begins!
Cashed in 11,000 leaving 750.

So, will use a bit then am going to reinvest in £5000 blocks, and change price reinvestments to being paid out instead. Will just save in my savings until I reach £5000.

Completely illogical but I love testing ideas and it's harmless 😂

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/11/2023 07:37

And pic changing means nothing as grandson won last month and didn't this month and pic changed

So that Theory is out of the window 😂😂😂

It's in bits and pieces. The prize was 1x £25 and 1x £100.

@Blondeshavemorefun daft but entertaining 😂 I've even set a spreadsheet up

Dashel · 02/11/2023 07:46

£225 for me and £25 for DH on full holdings. Will need to withdraw some from one of them in a few months - unless we have a good win before then so really keeping fingers crossed for December.

paranoidnamechanger · 02/11/2023 07:50

Nothing at all for me - I only have 5k in holdings but I was hoping for some beginners luck. I'm going to put another 1k in there next week, ready for the January draw.

littleblackcat27 · 02/11/2023 07:55

@ErnestCelendine - thanks for info

@OneFrenchEgg - around 2 years ago I took a load of bonds out and put it back in a 'lump' of £20k and it did seem that I had a heck of a lot more luck after that!!

I understand probability etc and that it was illogical to lose a month's draw but for me - it did seem to change my luck

OneFrenchEgg · 02/11/2023 07:57

@littleblackcat27 yes it's been bugging me so why not? I've set up some more sensible savings pots outside of premium bonds so I can save my £100 a month that was going there and get interest.
Also am saving a recent payrise (the difference) so I'm going grown up stuff.

LondonLovie · 02/11/2023 08:02

£100 on full holdings. That's very poor, with current interest rates

Aramist · 02/11/2023 08:04

£200 on full holdings.
Last month got £375.

DH also on full holdings and I keep getting more than him 🤣

poostinkywink · 02/11/2023 08:07

I’m not sure about how this works if you have FH (as I don’t!).

interestingly though when I checked the transaction history last night, £250 was showing as my 1/11/23 wins to be auto reinvested. But when I checked the prize checker this morning, the total is actually £300, so it’s like they are drawing the numbers late in the night and adding the prizes in real time. Must have got an extra £50 when I logged off 🥳

WowIlikereallyhateyou · 02/11/2023 08:08

£275 on full holdings, so happy with that.

BoogleBear · 02/11/2023 08:09

£100 on £11k so very pleased with that!

JayAlfredPrufrock · 02/11/2023 08:11

Zilch on FH. Very disappointed.

Tequilamockinbird · 02/11/2023 08:16

Nothing for me this month on approx £10k holdings Sad

StatsNerd · 02/11/2023 08:17

Nothing on about 43k, split across two kids accounts. Very disappointed ☹️

ChatBFP · 02/11/2023 08:21

I got nothing at midnight, then £225 on FH first thing this morning.

Well done to the big winners!!

champagneplanet · 02/11/2023 08:21

£200 each for DH and I, he has FH and I have approx £25k.

Happy with that, can't always have a win like last month (when DH got £50k).

napsarelifewithtwo · 02/11/2023 08:26

Nothing on FH and £25 on 20k for DH. Disappointing month for us

ChatBFP · 02/11/2023 08:27

(I'd be interested on @OneFrenchEgg's experiment - I had a smaller block and lots of reinvestments over long period, then topped up to FH with redundancy money and I have found that my record is pretty patchy compared to many. I would have thought that as very very many people, almost everyone without FH, reinvest, there would be more random small holdings (even if part of bigger total holdings) winning in the spreadsheet, but obviously I don't know what the split is).

Notsonifty50 · 02/11/2023 08:32

£750 across four prizes for me. The most I've ever won before is £225 so very happy today 😊
