UC account closed, what to do?

Posting on behalf of a friend, any help would be greatly appreciated.

She has been claiming single person’s UC, just a basic claim, for a couple of years. They requested some information from her last month but due to personal problems (mental health & family problems) she forgot to send it & her claim has now been closed, is there anything she can do?

She cannot access the online portal to message her work coach & the only option is to make a new claim. If she makes a new claim, will she have to go through the whole process again? She was assessed as having limited capability for work (due to mental health) & there has not been change in her circumstances, so will she have to prove this all again?

Her mental health is really bad & I don’t think she’ll be able to go through the full process again.

It is unusual for the claim to close, more likely payments would just be suspended until the information they have requested has been supplied. Can she not log in using her original log in details and do a rapid reclaim? If she can't do this then she needs to ring them asap and as above request a mandatory reconsideration. She should perhaps seek help form CAB or other organizations who can assist vulnerable people.
