I’m in a panic. Just checked my HMRC app and it is showing no payments due for TC. Last payment was 17/8.
has anyone else got the same issue?
says renewal is automatic and I don’t need to do anything, so other than check the renewal pack had the right figures I haven’t touched it

Two thought:

Do you get Tax Credits weekly?

Have you checked your bank to see if that matches the app?

Is it not to do with any child not staying in education gets taken off on 1st of September so the claim gets recalculated?

BoohooWoohoo · 26/08/2023 15:47

Did you submit your renewal on time ?

sammie1007 · 26/08/2023 16:45

thanks For the replies. My eldest has turned 16 this year but I have 3 children on the award. He is staying on in education and I have let them know this.
the app and renewal pack said that I would renew automatically so I didn’t need to do anything

I get tax credits weekly and have 2 children on my claim. Oldest has also turned 16 and I’ve informed them he’s staying in education.
Just checked the hmrc app and it’s not showing any payments after August either.

You need to let Tc and child benefit know they are staying in education you can do both through the HRMC app. You need to do it every year once they turn 16

I feel much more reassured now thanks guys :)
